His end goal is to one day destroy his own source code, the source of his programming and the thing that transfers his consciousness to a new chassis every time his old one is destroyed. His rage and bloodlust finally brought him to the Apex Games, where he assassinated a Hammond Robotics sponsored Champion, James McCormick, and took his place in the games. Now freed from his servitude, Revenant sought out the ones who had wronged him, assassinating anyone associated with the Syndicate or Hammond Robotics (the company that started the simulacrum program). With that net of safety now gone, the stress of all his his previous lives caused him great suffering and distress. His programming had kept his emotions and memory of previous traumas in check. However, upon the completion of a hit placed on Marcos Andrade, Revenant received some damage to his chassis that, combined with nearly three centuries of data loss and corruption from countless transferences, caused his programming to fail. This allowed them to send him on assassination missions continuously without fail. Furthermore, his memory was blocked, and additional protocols were implemented to keep his simulacrum intelligence unaware of his new identity. However, the greatest asset for the Mercenary Syndicate that came from this this change was the ability to wipe and transfer Revenant's memory to another simulacrum chassis whenever the previous chassis suffered critical damage. This granted him superior assassination abilities and the ability to enter a smoke-like state where he could reform from fatal damage. In 2042, due to unknown circumstances, Revenant had his consciousness digitized and transferred to a simulacrum chassis. Originally human, Revenant was once the greatest hitman the Mercenary Syndicate ever had. You think you know suffering, girl? Just wait.

And when you finally have something you love with all your heart, I'll annihilate it and send you into the hell you deserve.
